Rooibos (also called “red bush tea” or just “bush tea”) is an herbal native to South Africa. The beverage comes from the needle-like leaves of the rooibos plant. Rooibos has become more popular in the United States because it tastes great, is caffeine free and contains numerous vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It also brews up quite dark and is, therefore, one of the few herbals that can pass for a true tea.
